Pinterest

I have had pinterest for a few years. I always enjoyed the experience because it was well monitored and I would not get results that were off topic. I would give that version of pinterest 5 stars. However recently there has been a way too big increase in ads! I would estimate that for every 2 results there is an add. I can tolerate adds but not this many, it really takes a way from the app being user friendly!! Edit 2 years later: now there are 4 ads per 2 posts. This is really disappointing.

Used to be great, but it's falling down hard. Many commercials are from dropshipping companies, sometimes entire pages are just commercials and it has become very hard to talk to other ppl as many things get randomly blocked, ppl included. (Dropshipping companies don't btw.) A lot, and i mean aprox 50% is ai made and fake. It's cool for learning skills like crochet, but i think it's on its last legs. I don't see it existing another 10 years if things don't change back at least somewhat.

absolutely fantastic from getting inspiration or references for various things, but the ads are just WAY too much. I am not joking when I say I get more "sponsored" ads than I do regular recommendations. freshly opened app.. I counted 14 or more ads compared to 4 actual recommendations. and reporting them as spam, inappropriate, or simply unwanted, does nothing. it's very unenjoyable when you're scrolling through more ads than stuff you're actually interested in.
