The app seems to be a partial port from the iOS version (support pages still reference iPhones and carplay). Android Auto is not supported - skip this one and use your kids' iPhone instead. edit: updating my review to 4 stars since the tours are excellent, and the purchased tours transferred to a different phone using the same account

Mahalo for the feedback! We’re sorry for the confusion. The Shaka Guide app works on both iOS and Android, but currently, it doesn’t support Android Auto due to compatibility issues with our offline GPS model (works great with Apple CarPlay). If you need help, please email your purchase receipt to aloha@shakaguide.com for a refund. 😊

Beyond helpful. I did the Classic Road to Hana. While admittedly there were a couple places where the service was a problem, it was only for a few moments. All in all I was impressed with how the app knew exactly where I was and helped me navigate the right turns. I got out pretty early which meant a few of the first places weren't open yet. But it far outweighed the heavy crowds and I just hit a few of them in the way back instead. It was full of great music and fun history.

Fantastic App! Really one of the most well made apps I've ever used. However, Road to Hana was a bit of a let down. Was a huge time commitment for a lackluster payoff. This is just to inform others, ymmv. Try one of the other tours provided by this app!
